Balanoposthitis, Phimosis vs. Iuxtavesical Ureteral Stenosis

Left picture: Here, the diagnosis is a balanoposthitis in a phimosis. The latter may be - with or without complications - the cause of urinary tract infections, or of a pathological urine sediment or cultures. Its significance as cause of urinary tract infection is often underestimated. Right picture: Although the picture reminds of a phimosis, it is an operative finding of a ureter which has been removed from the bladder and displays a prevesical ureteral stenosis as cause of recurrent urinary tract infections.
