Epidermoid Cyst vs. Pacchionian Granulations

The diagnosis is the bed of an intraosseous epidermoid cyst reaching to the inner bony cortex which has been removed. Right picture: In this case with myelomeningocele, Pacchionian granulations were found which led to extraordinary radiological sequels to the skull.

Two case reports of toddlers in whom surgery was performed for oncological reasons to treat roundish circumscript parietal or frontal skull defects. Left picture: The parietal skull defect is like punched out, and the inner bony cortex is partially preserved at the bottom. Right picture: This defect is irregular, and a protruding structure is visible over the dura at the bottom. Compare the findings next to the borehole on the left side.
