Myelography (Mass of the Back/Minimal Spinal Dysraphism)

Myelography in a 5-month-old infant with the main finding of a subcutaneous lipoma over the sacrum. There is a contrast defect on the left side of the picture in the lower part of the asymmetrically ending dural sac. The diagnosis - as suspected - is minimal spinal dysraphism with intraspinal lipoma. During surgery a sand-glass-shaped continuation of the subcutaneous lipoma in an intraspinal lipoma was recognized which was connected to the conus.
