Local and General Findings 4 (Non-Inflammatory Breast Enlargement)

7-year-old girl whose sexual development has already begun: Bilateral macromastia, change of the external genitalia and growth spurt of body length. The probably endocrinological cause of the precocious puberty with a distinct enlargement of both breasts and other signs is a congenital shunted hydrocephalus. In a population of shunt carriers this pathology can be observed in a few percentages, and it is useful to stop the puberty for a couple of years for different reasons.
