Surgery 2 (Neuroblastoma)

Figure tuab_32a_n.jpg and tuab_32b_n.jpg: Resected retroperitoneal tumor of the right side in an 1.11-year-old boy. The length is 4 cm. Following incision of the tumor regularly distributed spotted structures of the same size are visible. The diagnosis is a neuroblastoma of the right adrenal gland which has been resected following the first intervention due to its relatively small size. The spotted structures correspond to calcifications which are typical for neuroblastoma, and frequently observed.
