Staging/Pathoanatomical Forms 1 (Nephroblastoma)

Excised abdominal tumor of a 4.6-year-old boy. The original organ is not recognizable; the tumor's size is 8 by 8 cm, and two spherically protruding and yellow parts of the tumor are visible. It is a relatively small nephroblastoma at surgery which involves the whole kidney and has not broken through the tumor capsule. There is a blood clot at the upper tumor part. Considering the negative staging results during surgery, a stage 1 ( I ) nephroblastoma is present.
