Moist Navel (Differential Diagnosis as before)

Newborn boy with a prominent, conspicuously large navel. In the middle of the navel a reddish, annular and covered mass protrudes; discharge of a golden yellow colored fluid. The diagnosis is an omphaloenteric duct (patent vitelline duct) with discharge of bilious fluid from the navel. This finding reminds of a navel granuloma. In the omphaloenteric duct there is an abnormal tract between navel and small intestine.
