Stool in Starvation (Hypertrophic Pyloric Stenosis)

7-day-old boy with stool on the napkin. The stool consists of black splashes and contains mucus and bile as well; the bile leads to a greenish discoloration at the border of the splashes. It is stool with the child in a state of starvation; it may be observed in hypertrophic pyloric stenosis with total impossibility to feed the child. The presented case suffered from a state of starvation due to a chronic volvulus in an anomaly of intestinal rotation.
