Bladder Exstrophy 1 (Differential Diagnosis as before)

Newborn boy with an externally recognizable malformation of the pubic region. The diagnosis is a bladder exstrophy. The bladder which is not covered by skin and muscles of the abdominal wall is also split; therefore, the posterior wall of the bladder is prolapsing to varying degrees depending on the intraabdominal pressure. The insertion of the cord lies more caudally directly above the defect.
