Cystourethroscopy (Posterior Urethral Valves)

Cystourethroscopy in a 1.7-year-old boy with voiding disorder. There is a sail-like structure distally from the colliculus; the latter is marked by a hemorrhagic spot. The diagnosis is posterior urethral valves. They can be seen directly by endoscopy; in addition, the lumen of the bladder can be inspected, and the extent of secondary bladder involvement can be evaluated.
