VCUG 1 (Posterior Urethral Valves)

VCUG in a 10-month-old infant with weak urinary stream and urinary tract infection. The posterior urethra is dilated, the distal urethra is small. The bladder wall has an irregular contour with localized deposits of contrast outside the wall. The left ureter is dilated and tortous. The diagnosis is a severe type of posterior urethral valves which has led to bladder hypertrophy with pseudo-diverticula and to vesicoureteral reflux of the left side.
