Thumb Sucker (Cleft Lip Palate)

The correction of the dislocated alveolus following surgery is a dynamic process. In the presented case of right cleft lip palate the patient started sucking his thumb some time after lip closure with a good result. After a while, the fine gap between the two parts of the alveolus had become very wide.
