Van der Woude Syndrome (Cleft Lip Palate)

This infant has a bilateral cleft lip, and in addition, bilateral crater-like swellings. The disturbing associated anomaly are bilateral fistulas of the lower lip = Van der Woude syndrome; such patients have an otherwise normal development. An excision should be performed for functional and esthetic reasons.
