Rhabdomyosarcoma, Bladder vs. Urachal Cyst

Left picture: Considering the age of the patient, the symptoms and the endoscopy, a malignant bladder tumor is present, namely a rhabdomyosarcoma of the bladder. Right picture: It is not a brimful bladder; however, a urachal cyst is the diagnosis, which communicates with the bladder and explains the described sign depending on the time after micturation with changing navel configuration and bladder size.

Left picture: Abdominal mass in the middle of the lower abdomen in a male toddler with hematuria and voiding disorders of the bladder. Right picture: Infraumbilical mass in the midline of a schoolgirl with microscopical hematuria and urinary tract infections. A change in the shape of the navel and a change in the size of the tumor can be observed depending on the interval after the last micturation. Left picture: There is not a full bladder present as in a case with chronic urinary retention; the insertion of a catheter in the bladder does not decrease the mass.
