Clinical Skills 2 (Cryptorchidism)

This picture illustrates how the examiner grasps the testis palpable in a cross-legged position and holds it seemingly in a correct position in the right scrotum in a toddler with suspected cryptorchidism on both sides. As soon as he lets go of the testis it returns to its original position in front of the external inguinal ring. The clinical diagnosis is prefascial ectopia of the right testis ('sliding testis').
